The purpose of discipline is developing the theoretical knowledge and practical skills in the use of computer technology for the automation of scientific research, design and technological preparation of production, management and organizational activities in mechanical engineering.

Problems of the discipline are familiarizing students with opportunities to use personal computers and various types of software to improve the efficiency and quality of work at different stages of technological preparation of engineering production.
