Igor S. Sobolev (23.05.1974) is an associate professor at Department of Ecology and Geochemistry of TPU , he works part-time. He obtained received his PhD in 1999 from TPU on the subject “Radiogeochemical exploration of oil and gas fields in West Siberia”.

Since 1999 he worked in TPU as an assistant after then senior lecturer and associate professor. He moved to the LLC Tomko in 2005 where he served as chief geologist and from there to the LLC Geo Service in 2009 where he also worked as chief geologist. At the same time, he worked in the scientific research group and as an associate professor at the department of Department of Ecology and Geochemistry. He has more than 17 years’ experience in geochemical and geophysical surveys for prospect of ore deposits and oil/gas fields. He is closely involved in development of new geochemical methods and techniques exploration of mineral resources and awarded diplomas of International and Russian exhibitions.
