Kurganov Vasiliy born on 04.09.1964 in the village Kurchum East Kazakhstan region of the Kazakh SSR.
In 1981 he graduated from the Kurchum secondary school №1. In the same year he entered the Tomsk Polytechnic Institute to the specialty "Automation and Telemechanics". After graduation he remained employed at the Department of Automation and Telemechanics (AVTF).
In 1993 he enrolled at the post-graduate school and in 1996 he defended his thesis.
In 1997 he was awarded the rank of Associate Professor in the Department of Automation and Telemechanics.
