Main areas of research activity:
  1. Developmentof mathematical methods and software to design optimal electrophysical facilities, as well as mathematical modelling of physical processes emerging in these facilities.
  2. Mathematical modelling and design of electrophysical facilities and machines generating charged particle beams, to solve tasks issued by nanotechnology and non-destructive testing spheres, and to get powerful charged particle beams.
  3. Mathematical modelling of interactionsbetween powerful charged particle beams andtheir self-magnetic as well as outer magnetic fields in gas and plasma environments. This issue seems rather urgent to understand the ways of generating electron beams with targeted parameters which are used in nanotechnology (surface modification). Lately this issue has been increasingly popular both among Russian and foreign developers.
  4. Mathematical modellingof interactions between powerful charged particle beams and their self-magnetic as well as outer magnetic fields in vacuumsystems. This issue seems rather urgent to create powerful magnetic pulse generators which can be applied both to ensure reliable space communication, to study the effect of intense radiation on materials and living beings and to detect radioactive emission into the atmosphere.
