In 2009 Evgeniy Popok graduated with honors from the National Research Tomsk Polytechnic University specialized in “Chemical technology of natural energy resources and hydrocarbon materials” with the qualification of “Engineer”. In November 2009, he entered a postgraduate program in TPU, specialty 05.17.08 – Processes and apparatus of chemical technologies, research supervisor was Prof. Anatoly Kravtsov. In 2012 Evgeniy Popok came under the supervision of Valeriy Korobochkin owing to the death of the first supervisor. On December 25, 2012 he successfully defended his thesis on “Improving the efficiency of industrial methanol synthesis in the deck-type apparatus using methods of quantum chemistry and mathematical modelling”. At present Evgeniy Popok works as an Associate Professor at the Department of Fuel Engineering and Chemical Cybernetics. He continually improved his skill, did placements in various oil-producing companies of Russia, such as “Gazprom Neft Shelf”, LLC “RN-Yuganskneftegaz”, LLC", JSC “Vostokgazprom”. In 2014 he took a skills improvement course in TSU on “Analysis of gas and liquid mixtures by gas and liquid chromatography”. Evgeniy Popok is a lecturer at training courses for the staff of the technological complex Sea Ice-Resistant Stationary Platform “Prirazlomnaja”. His current primary research interests include pretreatment of oil, gas and water on the field, syntheses based on CO and H2.
