National Research Tomsk Polytechnic University (TPU) will hold the International Forum "World Top Technical Universities: New Horizons of Cooperation" in Tomsk on May 21-22, 2013, within the XV Innovation Forum INNOVUS-2013.
Forum aims at development of world-class educational environment and generation of the professional elite in the field of resource-efficient technologies by expanding Master training in partnership with leading universities and industry, and development of infrastructure for basic and applied research in the TPU Priority Development Fields.
Target audience: world leading universities, TPU partner universities, Russian and foreign technical universities, academic, business and industry communities.
Forum will be organized in the form of a general plenary session and round tables on following topics:
- High-energy physics
- Environmental management and deep processing of natural resources
- Intelligent energy systems - efficient generation, smart grids, smart cities
- Nanomaterials and beam-plasma technology to create materials with desired properties
- Intelligent information and telecommunications systems of monitoring and control
- Non-destructive testing and diagnosis in industrial and social spheres
- Entrepreneurial University in the New Economy
- Internationalisation of higher education: problems and prospects
As a result of the Forum it is expected to sign agreements on joint double degree programmes and joint research, to develop and expand the activities of the Centres of Excellence, to develop applications for international grants, to further develop comprehensive international cooperation.
