Dear students and colleagues!

We would like to invite you to take part in the XIX Russian scientific conference in honor of М.К. Коrovin “Researches of young scientists – the step to the successful future “The Arctic and its development”. Conference will be held at Institute of Natural Resources of Tomsk Polytechnic University.

Attention!

The following activities will be held in frames of the conference:

1. Lectures of prominent scientists and experts on the topics of the conference.
2. Master Class of honored scientists in the areas of conference scientific research.
3. Competition for the best scientific report among the participants of the conference on the topic "The Arctic and its development."
4. Exhibitions:

• The road to white horizons,
• Tomsk tracks in the Arctic

5. Watching of films about the Arctic.
6. Meeting and conversation with the famous polar explorers.

Acquaintance with the book collections in the exhibition of scientific and technical library of TPU on the topic: "The first Arctic expedition."

Other Activities

Following tours will be available:

Tomsk Polytechnic University and Institute of Natural Resources, including Mineralogical and Paleontological Museum, Memorial Museum of Academicians V.A. Obruchev and M.A. Usov.

Extra tours:

Siberian Botanical Garden, Museum of Rare and Antique Books and Manuscripts, Tomsk Polytechnic University History Museum, Round-the-city tour, and others. Festive evening will be organized for the participants where the prizes for the best reports will be awarded.

Participation requirements

Participants: students of the 1-4 year of study, postgraduates. Full- or part-time participation is available.

Within the deadline 30th March 2016 the following documents should be submitted to the Organizing Committee:

– Article, written in accordance with the Editorial Requirements

Conference will be held within the period of 10^th -14^th  October,  2016.

LANGUAGE

Official languages of the conference are Russian, English. Simultaneous or consecutive interpretation is not provided.

CONFERENCE VENUE

TPU’s lecture rooms equipped with screen projection and computer units.

Accommodation

TPU hostels, health centre and hotel will be provided.

Accommodation rates: TPU hotel - 1500 rubles / night

TPU Health centre - 600 rubles / night

Accommodation at Tomsk hotels is also available:

Hotel rates - 1500 rubles / night minimum
