History

IRT-T research reactor was built in 1967, reactor operation started in july of 1967.

Significant modernization had conducted in 1977-1984. The aluminum internal tank of reactor was replaced to stainless steel due to affection of corrosion, installations and equipment of 1st and 2nd loop of reactor were upgraded In addition, 3 floor administrative building was constructed.

In 2000 systems for monitoring of water consumption, pressure, neutron fluxes and etc. were upgraded.
