22.02.2023 On March 29 – 31, 2023, an educational IT mini-school will be held. Everyone is invited. We will inform you about the time and venue later. All speakers will participate in person. Speakers and topics of their lectures are as follows: 1. Martin Buresh, Joint Institute for Nuclear Research, Information Technology Laboratory (JINR LIT, Dubna) Lecture topic: "Quantum computing – some theoretical aspects" The purpose of the lecture: we will discuss the basic concepts of the theory of quantum computing, including some basic quantum algorithms. Will talk about metrics introduced on the space of N-dimensional quantum systems.
2. Renat Dusaev, Research School of Physics of High-Energy Processes Tomsk Polytechnic University (TPU) and the Center for European Nuclear Research (CERN, Switzerland) Lecture topic: "IT in high energy physics" The purpose of the lecture: we will consider the problems related to information technology in the formulation of a physical experiment and in data processing. We will discuss the life cycle of a modern experiment in high-energy physics, from formulation to analysis, with an emphasis on a specialized stack of technologies that is used in this case, with the disclosure of the main algorithmic base. We will present classical algorithms in modeling and reconstruction problems, as well as consider several examples of using machine learning methods, including the latest results obtained in experimental high-energy physics.
3. Boris Merzlikin, Engineering School of Nuclear Technologies Tomsk Polytechnic University (TPU, Tomsk) Lecture topic: "Graph–neural networks. The purpose of the lecture: we will introduce the basic concepts of the theory of graph neural networks and discuss some issues of the topology of neural networks. We will carry out a practical calculation of the Betti numbers for some topological spaces.
