LLED, or DLLE (not appreciated)

English-language acronym for our title, for “department of laser and lighting engineering”. In Russian our acronym is “kafedra LIST” which means “kafedra lazernoy i svetovoy tekhniki”.

This title was given to us in 1991. We were formerly known as the “department of lighting engineering and light sources”. In Russian it was “kafedra svetotekhniki i istochnikov sveta”, or “kafedra STIS”.
