The purpose of the discipline: to acquire knowledge of the processes and designs of the superchargers of nuclear power plants and practical skills in calculating pumping, compressor, and fan installations to ensure their reliable, safe and economical operation. Contents: the designation of superchargers and their place in the thermal scheme of nuclear power plants; the basis of the theory of centrifugal machines; the similarity of centrifugal machines; the work of centrifugal machines in the network; device and operation of NPP pumps; jet pumps; the use of centrifugal fans and compressors at nuclear power plants.
