Industrial ecology science about ekologo-economic systems, i.e. about set of the systems including the industrial enterprises and other objects of economic activity of territories and all complex of the organisms living in this territory.From these positions the key scientific and technical discipline defining ways and means of achievement of ecologically reasonable compromise between the person and the nature is the industrial or engineering ecology.
