In 1989 Dmitry Yu. Stepanov entered the Faculty of Automation and Computer Engineering of Tomsk Polytechnic Institute. In 1994 Dmitry Yu. Stepanov graduated from Tomsk Polytechnic University with an honours degree in Applied Mathematics and Informatics. In 2000 he defended his PhD thesis. Since 2000 Dmitry Yu. Stepanov has been working as an Assistant Professor at the Department of Applied Mathematics, Institute of Cybernetics.
