| The discipline goal is to study development conditions and distribution regularities of fossil fuels (coal, oil, gas, peat, oil shale), their composition and properties. The discipline deals with the evolution of natural carbon compounds from living substance till fossil fuels, ways and mechanisms of transformation of biological systems into geological objects, the main features by which the division of initial organic substance (OS) for forming of solid, liquid and gaseous fuels and OS transforming stages are distinguished. Forming conditions of fossil fuel deposits forming, deposits distribution regularities, basics of search and exploration of solid fossil fuels.
