Abstract of the discipline:
The syllabus on «Theory of probability» is designed at the Department of Higher Mathematics and Mathematical Physics, Tomsk Polytechnic University.
The syllabus is intended for second-year students of Institute of Physics and Technology and Institute of Cybernetics.
The goal of the discipline is
- obtaining basic knowledge of probability theory;
- formation probabilistic intuition;
- acquisition experience in construction probabilistic models;
- conducting the necessary calculations within the constructed models.
