S.I. Petrushin

S. I. Petrushin was born on March 13, 1949 in the village of Razdolnoye in Vladivostok region of Primorye. In 1966 he finished secondary school №80 in the city of Kemerovo with a Gold medal and in 1971 he graduated from Kemerovo Polytechnic Institute and obtained a diploma with honors majoring in “Technology of mechanical engineering, metalcutting machines and tools“. After graduation from the Institute he was employed as an assistant lecturer in the faculty of the Department of Technology of Mechanical Engineering in Kuzbass Polytechnic Institute from 1971 to 1975. From 1975 till 1978 he was a full-time postgraduate student at Bauman Moscow State Technical University (Moscow) and in 1980 he defended his PhD thesis. From 1980 to 1984 he worked as an associate professor in Kuzbass Polytechnic Institute, being a head of the Department “Technology of Metals”. From 1984 to 2002 he was a faculty member of TPU affiliate in Yurga, as well as a head of the Department of General Education of Faculty of Mechanical Engineering. In 1991 he set up the Department of Mechanical Engineering and was a head of it, from 1991 to 1995 and from 2000 to 2002 he was a deputy director of TPU affiliate responsible for research work. Since 2003 he has been working in Yurga Institute of Technology of TPU as a professor of the Department of Mechanical Engineering. In 1998 he defended the Doctor thesis in the Academic Council of Bauman Moscow State Technical University. He was given the academic title of professor in 2000.

Awards:

• The title “Honorary worker of higher professional education” was given in 2012.
• The Second Class Medal “For development of TPU” was given in 2010.
• The second Class Medal “For Service for TPU” was given in 2007.
• Bronze Medals of All-Union Exhibition of Achievements Нof National Economy of USSR were given in 1977 and 1987.
