Being a postgraduate student, Ponomarev D.V. was an executor on Contract No. 01/04 “Development of the methods for manufacturing and studying the properties of the thin optical films made from siloxane polymers filled with modified ultradispersed diamond” on the Grant of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation, the program "Development of Scientific Potential of Higher Education", Grant No.416 “Investigation of the synthesis of nanodispersed oxides in the chain chemical process initiated by a pulsed high-current electron beam of nanosecond duration” (2005).

From 2004 to 2006 Ponomarev D.V. received HVRI grants for scientific research on the topic "Synthesis and study of material nanosized oxide powders initiated by a pulsed electron beam". The results of the work had been presented at international and national conferences.

In 2006, Ponomarev D.V. was the executor of the RFBR grant No. 06-03-08027 “Synthesis of nanosized metal oxides in the chain plasma-chemical processes initiated by a pulsed electron beam” and of the business contract No. 1-2/06. In 2007, Ponomarev D.V. was the executor of the Federal Target Program "Research and development on priority directions of scientific-technological complex of Russia for 2007-2012", research work on lot "Works for the problem-oriented exploratory research and the creation of scientific and technological potential in the field of industry of nanosystems and materials on the critical technology "Technologies of creation and treatment of crystalline materials"” code “2007-3-1.3-25-01-066" on the theme “Chain plasma chemical synthesis of nanodispersed oxides with a crystal structure". From 2006 to 2008, Ponomarev D.V. was the executor of the RFBR grant No. 06-08-00147 “Investigation of generating high-current electron beam of nanosecond duration and absorption of its energy in gases and liquids". In 2006, Ponomarev D.V. received an individual grant of Tomsk Polytechnic University on research and development "Synthesis and study of nanosized powders of material oxides initiated by a pulsed electron beam."

In 2009, Ponomarev D.V. was the head of Project No. 2.2.2.3/8181 for the analytical departmental target program “Development of the higher school scientific potential (2009-2010)" in the direction 2.2.2.3 “Development of scientific and academic mobility in the framework of international cooperation". Ponomarev D.V. was also the head of the project on "Investigation of the characteristics of nanosized powders produced by pulsed plasma-chemical method" together with the Deutschen Akademischen Austausch Dienst - DAAD (German Academic Exchange Service).

Ponomarev D.V. is the winner of the program "Member of the Youth Research and Innovation Competition" (UMNIK), under this program he is the leader of the work on "Determination of the optimal mode based on the hydrogen combustion chain reaction excited by an electron beam for the pulsed plasma-chemical synthesis of nanosized titanium dioxide", 2009-2010.

In 2009-2011, Ponomarev D.V. is the head of the FTP grant "Scientific and Scientific-Pedagogical Personnel of the Innovative Russia in 2009-2013”, the event 1.2.2. on "Pulsed plasma-chemical treatment of silicon tetrachloride", State Contract (SC) P1351 dated September 02, 2009.

From 2009 to 2013, Ponomarev D.V. was the executor of SC No. 14.740.11.1181 dated June 14, 2011 "Plasma-chemical hydrogenation of silicon tetrachloride" (2011-2012), SC P842 dated May 25, 2010 "Pulsed plasma-chemical synthesis of nanocomposite particles from gas-phase precursors" (2010-2012), SC P830 dated May 24, 2010 "Development of technologies for nuclear fuel of advanced nuclear power plants” (2010-2012), SC No. P943 dated May 27, 2010 "Plasma-chemical synthesis of calcium-phosphate coatings" (2010-2013), SC No. P798 dated August, 17, 2009, "Chain plasma-chemical conversion of silicon tetrachloride" (2009-2011), SC No. P2158 dated November 05, 2009 "Chain plasma-chemical synthesis of nanodispersed crystalline photo-catalysts" (2009-2010), R&D No. 01.2.00901836 EZN of TPU "Development of the method for generation of nanosecond pulsed electron and ion beams for the beam-plasma technologies", SC with LPI No. 1/1-09 dated March 16, 2009 "Investigation of the interaction of pulsed electron beams of nanosecond duration with mixtures of electro-negative high-pressure gases", R&D No. 3.337.2012 EZN Development of technology for the pulsed plasma-chemical synthesis of nanoparticles.
