Ponomarev Denis Vladimirovich was born on May 23, 1981 in Chernogorsk, Khakassia. In 1998, he finished Comprehensive School No.7 in Chernogorsk. During learning at school he took an active part in the competitions in physics and mathematics. From 1998 to 2003 he was a student of the Department of Electron Devices at Tomsk State University of Control Systems and Radioelectronics. After graduating from the University, he started full-time postgraduate study at Tomsk Polytechnic University in specialty 01.04.04 – Physical Electronics. Ponomrev D.V. having full-time postgraduate study was the Russian Federation Government grant holder in 2005/2006. He worked under the supervision of Prof. Remnev G.E. in the field of nonequilibrium synthesis of nanosized oxides using a pulsed electron beam. In 2006 he defended the candidate dissertation in this topic “Pulsed Plasmochemical Synthesis of Nanosized Oxides” ahead of time in 2006. Since 2000 he has been working in Laboratory No.1 of the Institute of High Technology Physics at National Research Tomsk Polytechnic University. He is a senior researcher of Laboratory No.1 from November, 2008. The scientific interests of Ponomarev D.V. involve accelerated engineering and its application in plasmochemistry. Total number of publications is 63, over 20 reports in scientific journals indexed in Scopus, 2 RF patents.
