The discipline is aimed at training professionals to:

1) Research and production and technological work in the field of high-performance processing and production of new engineering materials and their products;

2) Modernization of existing and development of new methods of experimental studies based on specific technological challenges of improving the processing and production of new engineering materials and products from them;

3) Solving research and applied problems arising in the development of technological processes and equipment for production and processing machinery products;

4) Search and analysis of the profile of scientific and technical information needed to solve specific engineering problems, including the implementation of interdisciplinary projects.
