Eng Kolpakova Nina Aleksandrovna, Professor, doctor of chemical Sciences, Professor of the Department AKF HTF TPU Born September 1, 1942 in the town of Zyryanovsk of the East Kazakhstan region Graduated from high school in 1959 with honors. In 1959 he enrolled at the Tomsk Polytechnic Institute, chemical engineering Department, specialty "Technology of silicates". In 1964 he finished College and went to graduate school at the Department of physical chemistry. In 1968, after graduation he joined the Department of physical chemistry HTF TPI for the post of assistant at Department. In the same year he defended his thesis. In 1971 – senior lecturer, Department of physical chemistry; 1972-1996 he was the Professor of this Department. In 1996 he defended his doctoral thesis. Significant achievements in public and professional activities: • Member of the Board of RAS on the platinum metals • Zam. the Chairman of the dissertation Council D 212.269.04 at the Tomsk Polytechnic University. • Member of the dissertation Council D 212.267.06 at the Tomsk State University. Member of the dissertation Council D 212.025.03 at the Tomsk Polytechnic University. Awards received: Titles: Honorary worker of Higher education and Honorary chemist of the Russian Federation academician of the Russian Academy of natural Sciences (RAE), Academician of new York Academy of Sciences (public Academy) Medals: Medal "Veteran of labour" (Russian Federation) From the Russian Academy of natural Sciences: • Developed a course of lectures "Quantum-chemical calculation of molecule"; • Written the sections "Structure of matter", "Spectrochimie", "rules of conservation of orbital symmetry and reactivity of molecules" for a textbook "Physical chemistry" (authors: A. G. Stromberg, D. P. Semchenko); the textbook was published in 1973, 1999, 2000, 2002, 2003, 2006, 2009 . • Written, edited and published books of problems: "a Collection of problems in electrochemistry" (Moscow: Higher school, 2003), "Collection of problems in chemical kinetics" (Tomsk: Tomsk Polytechnic University, 2009), a textbook "Corrosion of metals" (publishing house of the TPU, 2000). Significant achievements in scientific work at the Department of physical chemistry faculty of chemical technology TPU. • Created field of research: "Electrochemical methods of analysis of silver, gold and platinum group metals (Pt,Pd,Rh,Ru,Ir,Os) in natural waters, mineral and technogenic raw materials" • Opened (together with geologists TPU) Geological and analytical centre of "Platinum-Gold" • Created foundations for the study of the phase composition of electrolytic deposits electrochemical methods • Developed the basics of cleaning dismantled equipment from radiation hazardous radiation deposits.
