Professor at Conservatoire National des Arts et Métiers (Cnam). Researcher at laboratory SATIE (UMR CNRS 8029). Stéphane Lefebvre is head of the “Integration in Power Electronics” team in the SATIE laboratory (UMR CNRS 8029, attached to universities: ENS Cachan, Conservatoire National des Arts et Métiers and University of Cergy-Pontoise). His research activities are focused on the behaviour of power semiconductor devices under harsh environments, especially on lifetime limitations at high temperature for automotive or avionics applications and under severe working conditions (shortcircuit or avalanche). More recently he develops research activities on the instrumentation of power modules for diagnosis applications and/or in order to better understand physical origin of modes of failures. He is also involved for several years in the integration research activities in power electronics (integration of dies and converters in PCB substrates). He is a member of the international steering committee of the EPE Conference, and member of the advisory board of PCIM Congress. He was responsible for several national research programs for SATIE laboratory in connection with several industrial partners (SAFRAN, Thales, Alstom, Schneider Electric, Valeo, EADS Astrium ...). Finally, he has authored or co-authored about 80 papers on top international journals and conferences and guided several Master and PhD thesis in Electrical Engineering
