In 1961 I matriculated to the Tomsk State University (TSU) at the Faculty of Radiophysics, which I graduated in December of 1966. After that, I was working as a junior researcher of the Siberian Physico-Technical Institute (SPTI) at Tomsk State University, and in September of 1967 became a graduate student of TSU. Then in November of 1970, I defended a thesis for the degree of candidate of physical and mathematical sciences.

In 1970-1972 I had occupied positions of an assistant and an associate professor at the Faculty of Applied Mathematics of TSU. I started working at TIASUR September of 1972 as an assistant professor at the Department of Optimal Adaptive Control Systems. In February of 1976, I was sent to the SPTI to lead the research laboratory of adaptive and optimal systems for the completion of the first flight test of correlation-extreme coordinator (CEC). CEC flight tests were successfully completed in 1978. In June of 1983 I defended doctoral thesis at the TPU dissertation council and in the same year I was conferred a degree of Doctor of Technical Sciences.

In 1984 I had returned in TIASUR as a Vice Rector for Research (1984-1991) and as a Head of Automotive Control Systems Department (April of 1984 - present).

From 2000 to present day, I hold position of a part-time Professor at the Department of Automation and Computer Systems of TPU
