Konovalov Viktor Ivanovich, born on December 19, 1945 in Svobodny, Amur region. In 1963 he graduated from high school in the city of Khabarovsk and entered the Tomsk Polytechnic Institute to the specialty "Automation and Telemechanics". After graduation he remained employed at the Department of Automation and Telemechanics (AVTF).
In 1972 he enrolled at the post-graduate school and in 1975 he defended his thesis. In 1979 he enrolled at the 4-month training courses at LETI (Leningrad). In 1982, Viktor Konovalov was awarded the rank of Associate Professor in the Department of Automation and Telemechanics.
In the period from 1990 to 2010, in parallel with his work at the department he worked in a science and technology company ACCO in the area of design and implementation of automated process control systems. He participated in development and implementation of control systems for steam boiler plants, liquid nitrogen producing plants, oil-processing refinery in Aleksandrovskoe, Tomsk region, methanol transshipment terminal in Nakhodka and other factories and enterprises.
Viktor Konovalov is the head of the OOP (main educational program) in the area 220400 - Control in Engineering Systems (bachelors) and the head of the profile "Information technologies of control of production processes" within the framework of the direction 15.03.04 "Automation of technological processes and production"
