In studies of the discipline, students need independently to learn how determine and adjust the needs of an industrial enterprise in energy carriers for technological and energy consumers; choose rational types of power plants for centralized generation and transformation of energy carriers, the composition of their equipment and modes of operation; design technological schemes of power stations, equipment and pipelines using modern mathematical methods and computers; determine the cost of energy, material and human resources in the enterprise energy saving systems and to develop ways of reducing these costs.
