In December 2014 defended his PhD thesis on the topic: "special circumstances to be considered when appointing a special criminal penalties to minors." As part of the research developed an algorithm taking into account the circumstances that characterize the personality of minors who have committed crimes, their living conditions and education, the level of mental development. This algorithm can be used for selecting the type and size of the court of criminal punishment for minors. The author analyzed in the context of the history of consolidation in the domestic legislation of special circumstances to be taken into account when appointing special juvenile punishment. In the thesis the position regarding the advisability of criminal punishment of imprisonment, depending on a particular set of indicators of criminal law, social roles, moral and psychological characteristics of the person of minors, their living conditions and education.
