Received his graduate and candidate of technical sciences (power electonics) degrees at Tomsk Polytechnic University in June 1998. He then served as an Asst. at Tomsk Polytechnic University at the Electro-Physical Dept., and was then in 1998 an Asst.Prof. at the Dept. of Industrial and Medical Electronics.

His academic specialty is power electronics, particularly the power supplies to charge capacitive storage. The total amount of publications is more than 30.
