Biography and working experience: Anatoly G. Dashkovskiy graduated from Tomsk Polytechnic Institute (now Tomsk Polytechnic University) in 1978 and was awarded a degree in electric engineering. He has been working at Tomsk Polytechnic University since graduation up to nowadays. First, as a teacher assistant of the Department of Theoretical Bases of Electrical Equipment from 1978 till 1982. During 1982 – 1985 he did a doctoral thesis on “Research of polarizing characteristics of optical radiation for increase of a noise stability of smoke fire sensors” supervised by professor Vladimir F. Panin. In 1985 Anatoliy started working as a teacher assistant at the Department of Labour and Environment Protection (now Department of Ecology and Basic Safety), since 1987 as a senior teacher and since 1988 as an associate professor of the Department of Ecology and Basic Safety of the Institute of Non-Destructive Testing of Tomsk Polytechnic University. Membership in societies: Anatoly is a full member of the Labour Union of Educators, chairman of the commission on labor protection of trade-union committee of Tomsk Polytechnic University. Awards: - the Certificate of honor of the Ministry of Education, - anniversary awards in honor of the 100 anniversary of Tomsk Polytechnic University and the Labour Unions of Education. Other responsabilities: Anatoly G. Dashkovskiy is a coordinator of the additional training of specialists of the organizations via Institute of Strategic Partnership and Competences Development of Tomsk Polytechnic University from the Department of Ecology and Basic Safety. Anatoly coordinates professional training in the area of Labour Safety for managers and specialists of organisations and industries. Anatoly provides consultations, examination of the project documentation, as well as preparation of the project documentation in the field of environment protection. Hobby: car, theatre, humour, Family: married, 2 daughters, 3 granddaughters Scientific Activities Research area: Development of the devices of early detection of fire-dangerous situation based on a smoke sign.
