- The new mathematical models and computer programs, describing the thermal, thermomechanical and erosion processes on the solid surface under the influence of powerful beams of charged particles were developed.
- The regularities of evolution of the thermal and hydro-mechanical processes in solids under irradiation by powerful pulsed beams of charged particles were revealed.
- The basic mechanisms of erosion and kinetics of material removal from the surface when it is irradiated by pulsed beams of charged particles with the initial energy from 10 to 1000 keV and power density from 1 to 10000 MW/sq.cm were determined.
- In the example of metals the data on the properties of the surface erosion under the influence of high-power pulsed and focused scanning beams of charged particles were obtained.
- The mathematical models and computer programs describing heat and erosion processes in the thermally insulated targets of the magnetron sputtering systems were developed; the regularities of atomic emission from the surface of the liquid-phase targets were obtained.
