The objectives of the discipline: the formation of the ability to practically apply advanced technologies of energy conversion to TPPs. Contents: schemes of power gas turbine units (GTU), the principle of operation and the arrangement of its elements, static characteristics of power GTUs, the peculiarities of the variable regimes of power GTUs are analyzed. The advantages of combined-cycle technology are considered, the cycles and schemes of combined-cycle plants (CCGT) of power plants are given. The functions and schemes of technological systems of GTU and CCGT, general station systems of gas-turbine and combined-cycle TPPs are explained, their ecological advantages are analyzed.
