KIT Professor Tilo Baumbach and KIT PhD student Alexey Ershov will hold a lecture on the methods of X-ray physics and computer analysis of the data
On March 18, 2015 (at 4.10 p.m., lecture hall 307, TPU campus bld. 10) there will be organized a lecture of the Institute of photonic research and synchrotron radiation (IPS), Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, KIT (Germany) by Professor of Experimental Physics Tilo Baumbach on the theme «Modern X-Ray Physics for Imaging Science» and IPS KIT PhD student Alexey Ershov on the theme «Automated Analysis of X-ray Data», related to use of computer analysis methods for processing solutions of the data obtained by means of X-ray radiation.
The lecture is offered first of all for the TPU students, post-graduate students and staff, who are specialized in software, information systems and process control systems.
At the lecture there will be presented the recent research results in the field of applied data processing.
The themes of the areas of research will be offered for the TPU students, and the scientific training and practical internships, as well as the implementation of the innovative projects and graduate research projects, can be organized at KIT (Karlsruhe, Germany) in the framework thereof.
The TPU staff will have the opportunity to ask and discuss with Professor Tilo Baumbach the issues of establishment of the joint research laboratories and making research in the field of computer image processing.
