The First International School on Heterogeneous Computing Infrastructure will be held at the Institute of Cybernetics of Tomsk National Research Polytechnic University (TPU) on 7 to 10 December in Tomsk Russia. The school is organized by the “BigData Technologies for mega-science projects” Laboratory of National Research Center “Kurchatov Institute” and the Institute of Cybernetics (TPU).
This is unique school held in Russia to discuss topics related to the BigData challenges. Leading scientists from Russian Research centers and Universities, Universities from USA, UK and Italy will give lectures and seminars to young scientists, PhD and post-graduate students of Russian Universities. Programme of the conference will include plenary reports in English, sectional reports and posters presentations in English and Russian.
The main topics of the Confefrence :
BigData challenges in science, business, industry and society. Research data sources and information filtering and selection. The Large Hadron Collider is the main data source in High Energy and Nuclear Physics and BigData.
Distributed systems role to acquire, process, handle and manage data. World LHC Computing Grid (WLCG), its objectives and scope, WLCG centers hierarchy. The workload management systems (WMS), WMS PanDA in distributed computing environment.
Graphics processing unit use for physics experiment data processing, hybrid computer system development, “machine learning” and anomalies search in complex distributed system operation.
High-Performance and High-Throughput computers (supercomputers, HPC, HTC, computing clusters) role to process and to simulate data in physics experiments. Integration of HPC, HTC, cloud computing and university clusters in a single cyberinfrastructure.
