Time resources: 16 hours lectures and 16 hours practices, 40 hours of self-study work
The aim of course: the formation of skills to use lexicon in the professional field; the formation of skills to work with special foreign language literature for obtaining professional information; the motivation for further training of the oral foreign-language speech; the improvement of written language skills. As a result of course’s studying the following competencies must be developed: the ability to use the basis of natural-science disciplines in professional tasks in English; the ability to be guided in the main methods and systems of technosphere safety in English; the ability to use specialized and scientific databases for search of foreign literature in technosphere safety; the ability to be familiar with special terminology in the field of a technosphere safety in English.
Course outline: 1. Future profession. 2. The analysis of harmful and hazardous factors of technosphere. 3. Safety in technosphere.
