Research objective

Creation of a situation decision-making center for oil and gas field management

Laboratory facilities

Internet-based video conferencing equipment and a hardware and software suite (HSS) including PanSystem and WellFlo well simulation and performance optimization software packages by Weatherford, and automated workstation complexes for well site geologist and technologist.

Research outcomes

  1. Creation of "Virtual Oilfield" laboratory as part of implementing "Virtual Oilfield" interdisciplinary center for methodology, research, and training. Completion period: 2011–2015.
  2. Currently in progress is State Contract № 14.515.11.0047 within the Federal Tagret Program for carrying out exploratory R&D activities on the topic: "Study of principles of building a system for technological process monitoring and adaptive management of "intelligent" oilfield development on the basis of live geotechnical simulation model of an oilfield". Completion period: 2013.
