Nowadays to train the qualified specialists the modern education technologies of learning are used at the Department of Applied Physics. This is the integration between a learning process and collaborated scientific research of teaching staff members and students of all Degree Programmes (Bachelors, Masters, and Postgraduates). This is provided by a rich resource base, whose total cost in 2011 was 0, 8 million US dollars.

The students are engaged into research activity in TPU, at the Atomic Industry enterprises, in the first-rate scientific centres of Russia and abroad. For instance, in 2009-2011 students carried out scientific research in the international scientific centres (Dubna and Protvino of Moscow Region, Gatchina of Leningrad Region), National Acceleration Laboratory “KEK”, Japan, at Beloyarskaya and Kolskaya Nuclear Power Plants, at the Atomic Industry enterprises of Krasnoyarsk Territory and Irkutsk Region.
