1997: PhD: “Critical powerful electron emission from dielectric induced by injection of dense nanosecond electron beam”, Departments of Theoretical and Experimental Physics, Tomsk Polytechnic University.

1983: Department of Physical Electronics, Tomsk Institute of Automated Control Systems and Radioelectronics, full-time, awarded Lenin's scholarship, Diploma with Distinction (grade point average 4.975 out of 5), Degree: Engineer physicist.

1978: Petropavlovsk's No 21 Secondary School USSR, grade point average (4.88 out of 5). Main subjects: Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry.
