The main area of interests is the laser optics which is the mainstream of optical sciences of nowadays. The most of technological advances of this century are somehow connected with advances in photonics and usage of new photonic devices for micro- and macro-level of an imaging.

At the present time the area of interests includes:

• Optical properties of inhomogeneous light fields (fully or partially coherent speckle-fields)
• Optics of crystals and liquid crystals
• Optical metrology and related methods of investigations: polarimetry, holography, interferometry and different types of optical microscopy
• Lasers, fiber-lasers and physics of ultrashort processes
