Alexander Gridasov was born in 1983 in Daugavpils, Latvian SSR.

In 2012 he was graduated from Russian state geological prospecting university n.a. Sergo Ordzhonikidze (MGRI-RSGPU) as mining engineer with speciality “Prospecting and exploitation of groundwater and geotechnical investigations”. The theme of graduation thesis in university was “Survey of Arikulan-Gaujan water-bearing system vulnerability in the Daugavpils region (Latvia)”.

Alexander started the PhD study work in Tomsk polytechnical university in 2013. The area of his research is hydrogeology of coalbed methane fields in the Kuznetsk Basin. His research is directed to understand the interactions between the deep CBM wells and the groundwater of upper structural level. Top of his interest is the CBM mining influence on drinkable water deposits.

From 2015 he is working in TPU as assistant of Department of Hydrogeology, Engineering Geology and Hydrogeoecology. At this post he hold practical and laboratory classes in courses “Hydrogeological calculations” and “Professional English”. Alexander is a member of organizers team of “Summer practice for hydrogeology students”.

Alexander is active participant of sport and cultural events in TPU. He is the first category athlete in orienteering. He represents the university on sport competitions of different class: from city till regional level. Alexander repeatedly receives the praises about his achievements in sport.
